Thuvakkam along with Applied Data Finance partnered and has setup a community nursery at Agaram Kandigai- a hamlet in the Panchayat of Sethupakkam, Thiruvallur district. The inauguration of the same was held on 10th February ’24 from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM. The bed of the nursery was raised at 1 ft. high, 3 ft. wide and 12ft long. The seeds were sown in a line method. The Nursery bed was covered with Paddy straws in order to support mulching process. 35 people, including the people of the community participated and volunteered in the event, where 5120 seeds of 12 different species were sown. The initial phase of the nursery is aimed to have 10000+ seeds to be sown varied across 32 different kinds of species. #plantnursery #saplings #seedlings #thuvakkam #nursery #adf #sethupakkam #thiruvallur #communitydevelopment

Happy to share the impact of our CSR journey in 2023 alongside Thuvakkam NGO, where we've joined forces to make a meaningful impact on environmental sustainability and education. 1.   Urban Oasis - Forest Edition: Planted and nurtured 750 indigenous plants 🌳 in a 3000 sq. ft. area at the Payyanur forest. Huge thanks to our caretaker for their daily dedication! 💚 2.   Karka Kasadara Educational Adventure: Conducted 8 engaging classes with devoted volunteers, reaching over 180 students. Recently treated students to a fascinating field trip at Dakshinchitra museum and established a library at ADW School, Valasaravakkam, stocked with 200 books! 📖 3.   Schoolarts Creative Transformation: Over 120 volunteers illuminated Anganwadi, women's shelter, and school spaces with vibrant artwork. Transformed 5,100 sq. ft. with themes like moral values, early education, positive notes, and environmental conservation. ✨ Grateful for the opportunity to contribute positively to our community.
